I saw LCMDF at Ja Ja Ja, a Nordic music festival in Camden, in November 2013. Their performance, with their excitable instrumentals and colourful performance, was enough on its own to make me buy the album. For anyone who likes a bit of synth-pop but is a bit bored of the same old stuff we seem to be getting in the British charts nowadays, this is a must. It's got everything you could possibly want - powerful, driving synthesiser riffs, catchy choruses, angry pop melodies and bizarre lyrics that clearly went through the wrong way on Google translate ("I can't find any curtains for my windows!"; "Voodoo, give me karma, want some Mahatma Gandhi!").There are plenty of tunes which you are guaranteed to be humming for weeks afterwards, from angry power-pop to happy spring-in-your-step type tunes. So if you want really catchy synth-pop record which is a bit quirky and refreshingly different from today's chart fare, get this.
